This is relevant to dissection scopes that use Halogen light sources (not the newer ones that use LEDs), specifically KL 1500 LCD light sources (manual).

You might need to replace the lamp if the light stops working and you get an Err1 (see page 18 of the manual for more details).

These are the compatible halogen lamps for this model (page 20 of the manual). We currently use the Osram 64634 HLX 15V 150W lamps.

Remove the side panel of the lamp and push down on the two metal notches to expose two holes that you can fit the lamp into
