Our preferred isolation solenoid valves are from the Lee company (LHD series, www.theleeco.com). Note that they often have a 6-8 week lead time, so if you see that we are running low (say <4 valves remaining) it’s a good idea to place a preemptive order. We typically use either the 12V or 24V valves.

For the LHD series the distal port is normally open, the proximal port is normally closed, and the center port is common (you can seal off the NC or NO port to use it as a 2-way valve).

Fast solenoid valves used in Nagel & Wilson (2015) and Jeanne & Wilson (2015) is LFAA1201610H (The Lee Company; $180 each; 8 week lead time).
